Research conducted by the Employee Benefit Research Institute found that over 22% of workers ages 20 and older spent a year or less at their jobs in 2022, becoming the highest percentage with a tenure this short since 2006. This significant change comes from Gen Z and Millennial values pivoting, with a greater focus on work-life balance, career growth opportunities, and compensation increases.
